Olivier is one of the founders of the Life Science Forum Basel (LSFB) and its Vice President and member of the board since its inception in 2008. In this role he ensures that the yearly conferences are well prepared and all things run smoothly.
In his work life Olivier serves as a Senior Business Consultant and Solution Architect Life Sciences for SAS Institute Switzerland. Prior to this role he held several positions at SAS since 1997 including client manager life sciences customers, head client management Switzerland, business development manager, account manager Swiss SMB market, manager technology group, product manager internet technology, academic program manager and knowledge management officer.
Before joining SAS Olivier worked at the Computing Center University of Zurich responsible for new user services such as World Wide Web, Internet Services, and statistical software and data bases.
Olivier holds an MA degree from University of Zurich in German language and literature (with a special focus on computational linguistics), Computer Science and Philosophy; an MBA with a focus on international management consulting from University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW); a Certificate in Advanced Studies (CAS) in the Management of Biotech, Medtech & Pharma Ventures from EPFL and UNIL.

Mark serves as a board member for the Life Science Forum Basel (LSFB) since 2014. He has a broad and long-term experience in the life science industry.
Mark holds a diploma in Mathematics from University of Zurich and post-graduate studies in Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

Christopher Peer Cieslok
Christopher Peer Cieslok is one of the 4 co-founder of the Life Science Forum Basel and a current board member.
In 2004 he started in Basel as a consultant with Business & Decision operating the SAS Competence Center for Novartis Pharma supporting Bio Statistics, Clinical Programming, Data Management and non clinical areas (i.e. Finance). In 2006 he shifted to Quality & Compliance as an external Consultant for Novartis. In 2008 he formed the Life Science Team for Business & Decision in Switzerland in Clinical Programming, Bio Statistics, Data Management and Quality & Compliance.
In 2009 it was time to say good bye and a new venture was created in Accra, Ghana offering Clinical Trial Service as a CRO – Intilia ltd. In 2010 he resigned as the CEO of Intilia ltd. and joined TIME4PM.ch ltd. in Switzerland as a Managing Director.
In 2012 the organizational structures of TIME4PM changed and were merged with Document IT Switzerland into the current Document IT group. In 2014 Document IT BeNeLux in Amsterdam was founded and in 2015 entities in Denmark and India followed.
Document IT is expending its network based business across Europe by inclusion of highly experienced Consultants providing them the structure, support and knowledge to facilitate their work. Connecting and enabling potentials within Life Sciences is a motivation which connects Christopher to the Life Science Forum Basel and the larger Bio Valley area.
Christopher holds an MBA from the Graduate School Rhein Neckar in Ludwigshafen, Germany as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Business Information Systems) from the Open University London, UK in combination with the Corporate State University Mannheim, Germany.
Since 2012 he is the proud father of a family with - as of 2014 - two children.

Dr Beatrice-Helena Ariano has been a Board Member of the Life Science Forum Basel (LSFB) since 2012 and as of 2013 was elected President. From 1996 to 2009, Dr Ariano worked as Associate Director Licensing and as International Project Coordinator for Farchim SA in Bulle (FR) and UCB SA in Brussels.
From 2009 to 2012 Dr. Ariano took over the responsibilities of Business Development for the American company PharmaForce International in Western Europe.
From 1983 to 1996 she had a very interesting and exciting career of the pharmaceutical industry with diverse experience as R&D Project Coordinator, Product Manager, International Product Manager, Area Manager Eastern Europe with Sandoz SA, Sandoz-Wander Pharma SA and finally as Head Product Management for the CZ and SK Republics in Prague.
Beatrice-Helena has a BA in Chemistry and Philosophy from the College of New Rochelle in NY, a diploma from the UN School of Diplomacy from the University of Vienna, and a Master and a Doctorate from the University of Bern In Chemistry and Biochemistry.
